Cherry Lane Paving Update

Unfortunately, due to a mechanical issue at the asphalt supplier, the final coat on Cherry Lane will not be completed today. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience. An update on the revised schedule will be provided as soon as it is available.

The Town of Richmond is seeking three members to serve on the Chariho Building Committee.

Interested applicants must submit their applications no later than Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM (noon).

Applications will be considered by the Richmond Town Council at its November 17, 2026, meeting.

Please review the attached letter for additional information and include the completed application with your submission.

Cherry Lane Paving Update – October 20, 2026

Work on the binder coat and driveways will continue on Wednesday, October 21st.

Please expect delays in the area while construction is underway. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this work progresses.

Hi Folks: Letting you know the Richmond Conservation Commission purchased and placed tick stickers in the main hallway of Town Hall. Please take a sticker or two for your family to scan the small QR code on the sticker that takes you to the URI website, where you can find important information on tick bites. This is a very convenient way to access the URI website should you need help. Ticks are still around in very high numbers in our area, and some carry Lyme disease and other harmful diseases that are not good for people or pets. See the photos of the sticker and the URI front page of their website for verification. Stay safe from ticks, everyone.

Old Mountain Road & Cherry Lane Update– October 14, 2026

Old Mountain Road: Paving will continue into this evening to complete the first lane, with work continuing tomorrow on the opposite lane. Crews are working extended hours to complete this phase ahead of the incoming rain on Friday.

Please be mindful of posted detours and, whenever possible, use alternative routes to avoid the work area.

Please note that this is the first binder course only. Additional work on driveways and berms, followed by the final paving course, will take place at a later date. Updates will be provided as that work is scheduled.

Cherry Lane: Continued work on the binder course, along with driveway and berm preparation, is anticipated to begin next week. I will provide an update once the work dates are confirmed.
