Hello June!

Summer means happy times and good sunshine.

Did someone say crawfish? 🦞 We took a group of residents out for crawfish, and they absolutely loved it!

For National Bird Day, our Memory Care residents made homemade bird feed so our feathered visitors could enjoy a healthy snack whenever they stop by for a visit. It was a fun and meaningful activity everyone enjoyed!

It’s a girl!

Last week, we surprised our Memory Care Nurse, Tierra, with a baby shower to celebrate her growing family. Celebrating and appreciating our teammates is so important, and seeing how happy and surprised she was made the day even more special!

The wild adventure to the Bayou Wildlife Zoo was a blast. Our residents got to feed the animals and stuff their faces with a picnic lunch. The weather was about as perfect as a sunny day can be.

For National Pizza Party Day, we enjoyed a fun pizza party filled with delicious pizza and great music from the 60’s. Everyone had a wonderful time singing along, socializing, and making memories together. A special thank you to Fairmont Hospice for sponsoring this enjoyable event for our residents.

Director Team Building was definitely one for the books! The directors took on the challenge of an escape room where teamwork, communication, and quick thinking were the keys to escaping to freedom. We had an amazing time working together to figure out clues and solve puzzles. Everyone had their “Inspector Gadget” hats on and brought their best detective skills to the table.

In celebration of National Lemonade Day, we made refreshing lemonade floats for our residents to enjoy. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the treats were a big hit.
