✨ An evening under the stars for an unforgettable cause! ✨ Team Eskaton was honored to attend and serve as a proud sponsor of Stand Up Placer’s annual Stand Up Under the Stars Gala.

It was an incredible night filled with elegance, connection, and celebration. Most importantly, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when our community unites to ignite awareness, inspire action, and take a stand against domestic and sexual violence.

Thank you, Stand Up Placer, for having us and for the vital, life-changing work you do every day to support survivors and strengthen our community. 💜

A marvelous evening of stories, connection, and seeing what it means to age with purpose! 🎥✨ Last Thursday, the energy at The Sofia Theatre in Sacramento was nothing short of magic. We filled the auditorium with Eskaton residents, family members, team members, and community partners to celebrate the premiere screening of our new documentary, Still Unwritten.

Following the screening, we were treated to an insightful panel discussion. A special thank you to three of the film’s wonderful stars—Steven Tincher, Pramila Kriplani, and Susan Carson—for sharing their hearts and wisdom with us. We are also incredibly grateful to filmmaker Jack York (Talegate), Therese ten Brinke (Executive Director of Innovation & Impact), and our moderator Zach Melchiori (Vice President of Marketing & Brand Management) for leading such an engaging conversation about purpose, passion, and the endless chapters still waiting to be written.

Our gratitude extends to the incredible Culinary Team at Eskaton Land Park for crafting delicious hors d'oeuvres that set the perfect tone for the evening, and to the team at The Sofia Theatre for being such generous and welcoming hosts.

And another heartfelt thank you to the stars of Still Unwritten: Steven, Pramila, and Susan mentioned above, along with Tony Kaye and David Willmott. Your inspiring stories are instrumental in helping us to reframe what it means to age well.

To everyone who joined us: thank you for reminding us of the power of community and connection. Our stories are truly Still Unwritten. 💙

We were seeing red at this week's Art with Lizzy session, in the best way possible! 🎨🍅 Art instructor, Lizzy, guided everyone through a vibrant still-life painting activity celebrating peak tomato season. By total coincidence, some of our painters showed up wearing red, perfectly matching the juicy tomatoes on their canvases! Talk about dressing for the occasion. 🔴🖌️ Check out our talented artists and their ripe, ready-to-frame masterpieces! 🖼️

🌸 From our hands to their hearts: A special Mother’s Day delivery!
The spirit of community is blooming here at Eskaton Natomas Manor! Our residents have been busy crafting vibrant, handmade flowers out of colorful fuzzy stems to serve as Mother’s Day centerpieces for our friends at Eskaton Land Park.

This "thank you" surprise was inspired by the delicious spaghetti and salad dinner the Land Park community treated us to earlier this year. We wanted to return the kindness with a gift that was just as heartfelt and creative. We are so proud of our resident crafters for spreading a little magic between our two communities!

During the holiday season last year, the spirit of giving was truly on display at Eskaton. Our talented residents from Eskaton Village Grass Valley came together to hand-knit beanies, scarves, and gloves to create heartfelt gift bundles for residents of Eskaton's affordable housing communities, including Eskaton Natomas Manor, Wilson Manor, and Clearlake Oaks Manor. 💙

Alongside the cozy knitwear, each bundle included thoughtful goodies, trinkets, and toiletries, turning simple donations into meaningful reminders of connection and community.

Jennifer Salvato (pictured right) has seen first hand the impact that these acts of kindness have on residents, especially during the holiday season. Having taken part in several gift-giving activities as Executive Director in Training, Jennifer shared, “Moments like our gift-giving celebrations and Friendsgiving have shown me just how deeply these small acts of kindness ripple through the lives of our affordable housing residents. Their faces genuinely light up when they’re shown even the simplest form of appreciation or love. That reaction never gets old for me. It’s a reminder that recognition, warmth, and community aren’t just ‘nice to have’; they’re essential.”

We’re grateful to our residents and team members for leading with compassion and proving that the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact. ✨

Gratitude was the main course at Eskaton Natomas Manor yesterday! 🧡 The community came together for a special Thanksgiving Dinner lovingly prepared by Executive Director Donna Garrett, who continues her heartfelt tradition of cooking full holiday meals for the three affordable housing communities she oversees, including Eskaton Wilson Manor and Eskaton Clearlake Manor. Her time, energy, and generosity ensure that residents have a hearty, home-cooked Thanksgiving meal to enjoy year after year.

A huge thank you to Donna and our Team Eskaton volunteers for preparing these incredible dinners, and to US Foods for donating over 50 turkeys to make celebrations across our communities possible. 🦃✨
