I spent the evening at Living Water Birth’s Fall Market here in Boerne, and I just loved the concept!

🍪 Pick out homemade baked goods and goodies brought by other moms.
🥣 Enjoy some chili and time to connect!

Such a simple idea, but SO fun!

And honestly, my favorite part wasn’t even the goodies. It was seeing a local business intentionally create community among the women they serve. 🫶

Motherhood is so much sweeter when we have other moms to walk alongside. Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, or somewhere in the middle of raising little ones, having a place to connect and build friendships is such a gift.

If you haven’t heard of them, Living Water Birth is a local midwifery practice offering prenatal and postpartum care in Boerne, along with home birth services throughout the greater San Antonio and Hill Country area.

✨Reclamation Childbirth Education is back this November! ✨

If you’re preparing for a home birth and want to feel a little more confident going into labor, this class is for you. We’ll spend the day talking through stages of labor, breathing, comfort measures, breastfeeding, and lots of practical ways to prepare for birth.

Partners are encouraged to come too! This is a great chance for both of you to learn together, ask questions, and feel more prepared for the big day. 🥰

Peace and answered prayers defined September. It was a month filled with the absolute sweetest births. God showed up in the biggest way for these mamas, their families, and the midwives that served them. He was so gracious, and we felt His presence in big ways.

✨PIPER✨

Primary Midwife Under Supervision (PMUS)

We couldn’t be more proud of this woman. She recently attended her first birth as “primary midwife under supervision”. She ran the show, she called the shots, and made Mama feel safe, heard, and well cared for.

Our apprentices move through multiple stages of clinical training, and PMUS is one of the most exciting. It marks a changing of seasons, a new level of responsibility, and a glimpse of the end goal.

Happy birthday to our sweet Denise! 🥳🤍

What a gift it has been to have Denise as part of the Living Water Birth team! She has been such a fun and joyful addition, and we feel incredibly lucky to get to work alongside her. Over the last year, we’ve loved watching her grow, not only as a midwife apprentice, but in so many beautiful ways. Her heart for serving women and families and the care she brings to our team make her so incredibly special to us.

Denise, we are so proud of you and so grateful that God brought you to Living Water Birth. We can’t wait to see all that this next year holds for you and all the ways He continues to grow and use you. 🤍

August kept everyone guessing with extra long labors, very fast labors, surprise genders, unexpected labor positions, and changes of plans.

God was praised, lessons were learned, and families grew!
