Starting July 1, 2026, Medi-Cal will no longer cover routine dental services—like check-ups and cleanings—for certain adult immigrants. If this applies to you, there’s still time to use your benefits. Schedule your dental appointment today so you can get the care you need before coverage changes. Emergency dental care will still be available for issues like severe pain, infections, or extractions. Learn more at medi-cal.ca.gov. To see how your immigration status affects your eligibility, visit dhcs.ca.gov/isc.
