Though July is a slow time for harvesting vegetables and planting seeds, there is so much to do in a community garden as large as ours. Talk to our volunteer managers, Carol, Mike and Susan, to see what the priorities are this week.

Stay hydrated. Come early in the day or late in the afternoon and enjoy the peace that is so abundant at Culverhouse Nature Park and Community Garden.

If you live in or near Osprey, the Friends of OBP would like you to share YOUR ideas with them. Then they'll share all the ideas with the County Parks Dept.

You may park at Evie’s on the Bay near US-41 and then take the short walk over.

Brilliant Harvest, Sarasota's premiere solar energy company, helped us upgrade our water delivery system. Now gardeners have water in early morning, all day, and even in the evening! The new solar panels and Dakota batteries are far more powerful and efficient than our old panels and batteries. The old ones served us for 12 years, though. Roofing by Curry installed a new shed roof to support the solar panels.

We have a lot of very happy gardeners now!!! Thank you to gardeners Mike, Peter, Steve, Tommy and Raoul for their work to get this project accomplished.
