Due to the rain, Solid Waste will not be servicing any containers on dirt roads today, Friday, Ocotber 30, 2026.

Solid Waste will service containers on the next scheduled pickup day or when the roads become drivable.

🚧SOFT ROAD CLOSURE: CAMELBACK ROAD 🚧
BETWEEN EXTENSION ROAD/COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2026 FROM 10AM TO 11:30AM

Please be advised that a Soft Closure will be implemented tomorrow morning on Camelback Road, between Extension Road and Country Club Drive.
During this period, Camelback Road will remain accessible to Local Traffic Only.

The closure is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

This closure is necessary to complete water line and road repairs.

PIMA ROAD AND CHAPARRAL ROAD INTERSECTION TO CLOSE FOR FINAL PAVING STARTING OCTOBER 23

The intersection of Pima and Chaparral roads will be closed in all directions from 8 p.m. Friday, October 23 to 8 p.m. Saturday. October 24, for final paving.

Additionally, northbound Pima Road in front of the Walmart Supercenter complex will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, October 23 to 5 a.m. Monday, October 26, for manhole adjustment.

NOTE: This work was previously scheduled for October 11 but delayed due to weather.

Description of Work: The intersection of Pima and Chaparral roads will be closed in all directions from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, October 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, October 26, for final paving.

Crews will conduct asphalt and concrete paving.
🕛 The closure will be in place 24 hours a day during this timeframe.
🛣️ Detour: Travelers should use Indian School Road or McDonald Drive as an alternate east/west route and Hayden Road or Loop 101 as an alternate north/south route to get around the closure.
🛣️ Access to the Walmart shopping plaza will be maintained off of Chaparral Road and Pima Road. See map for which driveways will be open and closed.
🚧 Construction activities will produce increased noise and vibrations. Crews will take steps to reduce noise, and vibration impacts as much as possible.

Information is subject to change due to the nature of the work, weather, and/or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of rain or extreme weather, this closure and pave may be canceled and rescheduled to a later date.

Starting Wednesday, September 30, 2026, 117th Place will be closed to all traffic for storm drain installation related to the Mesquite Trails Project.

The reopening of the road is scheduled for a new date: Friday, October 30, 2026.
Please plan accordingly.

🚧LONGMORE ROAD CONSTRUCTION

East and west bound traffic along McDowell Road will be shifted to the two southern most lanes. Longmore Road will be closed north of McDowell Road during intersection paving activities.

Detour routes to Alma School or 92nd Street will be required.

MCDONALD DRIVE INTERSECTION CLOSED FOR FINAL PAVING OCT. 17-19; PIMA ROAD CLOSED FROM MCDONALD DRIVE TO CHAPARRAL ROAD OCT. 16-17

Crews will conduct asphalt and concrete paving on Pima Road from McDonald Drive to Chaparral Road from 5 a.m. Friday, October 16, through 8 p.m. Saturday, October 17.

Additionally, crews will pave the intersection of Pima Road and McDonald Drive starting at 2 a.m. Saturday, October 17, through 5 a.m. Monday, October 19.

These closures will be in place 24 hours a day during the designated timeframes.
Detour: Travelers should use Indian Bend Road or Chaparral Road as an alternate east/west route and Hayden Road or Loop 101 as an alternate north/south route to get around the closures.

Travelers can access the Chaparral Business Center via Chaparral Road for the duration of these closures, or via Pima Road starting 8 p.m. Saturday, October 17.

Please follow signs and directions from traffic control officers. Construction activities will produce increased noise. Crews will take steps to reduce noise impacts as much as possible.

In the event of rain or extreme weather, this closure and pave may be canceled and rescheduled to a later date.
