Congratulations to the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department on earning national accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). Shakopee is now one of just five agencies in the state of Minnesota that have earned this accomplishment.

“This is an incredible achievement to which City staff devoted a significant amount of care and effort while continuing to provide top-notch programs and activities to our community,” said City Administrator Bill Reynolds. “I am incredibly proud of our team’s accomplishment and what this accreditation represents for the residents we serve.”
