𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝘽𝙪𝙙𝙙𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠!

This time, Edison K-8 Librarian Sara Dallmayr shares her thoughts on the heartwarming story of Millie!

Millie, a fearful but feisty border terrier who gets a second chance thanks to a special education teacher and a group of students who help her learn to trust again. Along the way, struggling reader Tori discovers a special talent for training fearful dogs, and together, she and Millie embark on a journey of trust, healing, and belonging.

A beautiful story about empathy, emotional resilience, and the power of connection.

Tune in as Sara shares why this is a book worth reading!

A special THANK YOU to our award winning CTE Broadcast Media and Film Production students for filming and editing our Book Buddy stories. We love collaborating with our talented students and showcasing their skills!

𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙧𝙩, 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 & 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮!

We’re proud to celebrate the talent of John Adams High School art students! As part of an McDonald's initiative to celebrate culture and community, 20 students submitted their artwork for the opportunity to have their creativity showcased at two different McDonald’s locations.

Congratulations to Mateo Pacheco Aguilar, whose artwork was selected as a winner and transformed into an impressive 5-foot mural at the McDonald’s on Miami Street!
In addition to recognizing student talent, the initiative also awarded support to the Art Department to help purchase art supplies, encouraging even more creativity and artistic expression.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these that celebrate our students, uplift young artists, and bring our community together through art. Congratulations to Mateo and all the students who shared their amazing work!
