🎉 **TEAM DORCHESTER SHINES AT THE SC APCO/NENA CONFERENCE!** 🎉

From October 7–9, our administration, three dispatchers, and three members of our EMD staff attended the SC APCO/NENA Conference, and what a great experience it was!

Throughout the conference, our team participated in classes that challenged us to grow, learn, and strengthen our skills while also reminding us of the importance of the work we do every single day. We had the opportunity to network with public safety communications professionals from across the state, make new connections, and finally put faces to some of the voices we have come to know over the radio and phone! 📞🎧

Our own Jesse Merritt was sworn in as the new 2nd Vice President for SC Chapter of NENA! ❤️🎉

The conference wrapped up with a brunch and awards ceremony, and **Dorchester County Consolidated Dispatch had an incredible showing!** We entered every award category for which we were eligible, and our team brought home FOUR awards! 🏆👏

🏆 **Palmetto Award:** Kelvin Bullard
🏆 **911 Contributor Award:** Jesse Merritt
🏆 **Training Officer of the Year:** Ricky Thomas-Wolfe
🏆 **Center Director of the Year – Honorable Mention:** Cora Tanton

These awards represent the dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence that our team demonstrates every day. Public safety communications is not always an easy job, and much of the work we do happens behind the scenes. It is wonderful to see our people and our center recognized for the difference they make.

Congratulations to all our award recipients, and thank you to everyone who represents Dorchester County Consolidated Dispatch with pride and professionalism!

**GREAT JOB, TEAM DORCHESTER!** 💙💛 We are proud of you all! 🚔🚒🚑

Please keep Chastity’s family, friends, and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
