In a moment where the LGBTQ+ community is under attack, leadership matters. Standing up for our gay, trans, and q***r neighbors when it is difficult is critical. We raised the First Light Progress Pride flag at City Hall as a reminder that everyone’s work matters more than ever

It’s on! After years of work, the Hanover Square Fountain is renovated and running. Thanks to the incredible team at the Syracuse Parks & Recreation for all your work in getting this done for our community. As a former Hanover Square resident, I’m especially proud to see this restored for the City

It’s Taste Of Syracuse weekend! It was great to get out and enjoy the warm weather and some excellent food from some Syracuse favorites, including Kevin Henry’s Hen House for jerk chicken! A special thanks to our Syracuse Parks & Recreation workers and Syracuse Police Department for all they do to make this festive weekend possible
Running is one of my favorite ways to get outside, and we’re so lucky in Syracuse and Central New York to have so many great places to run, trails like this one, parks across the city of Syracuse. Great safe neighborhoods where we’ve been investing in our sidewalk infrastructure. Everywhere you go, there’s a spot to go for a run.
So, get out there, get running, and enjoy National running day.

Downtown Syracuse is a vibrant community getting stronger every day. It was great meeting with business and community leaders at today’s Downtown Syracuse Committee annual meeting to hear about what else is in store.

It’s always the right time to fund our cities and I’m glad the New York State budget included $30 million in extra funding for Syracuse, as well as resources for Buffalo, Albany, Rochester, and NYC. I talked about this on Spectrum News 1 Central New York/S Tier's Capital Tonight and how we can use this funding to address structural challenges
