The reality: How do we explain to the cafeteria worker who greets hungry kids every day but struggles to provide for their family while helping shape our community's future or the teacher who spends their own dollars to ensure students have a great experience rather than using their pay to provide for their family that we are unwilling to support them when it counts?
If you’re someone who thinks there is waste so I’m voting no, you're essentially saying: let's not do something we can do, and instead choose higher turnover and less experienced staff for those many claim are our greatest resource: our children.
We want to work with our community and others to ensure accountability and transparency. However, we know voting 🗳️ YES ✅ for the will impact those doing the work, the students being served, and the local businesses that will benefit from more dollars in the economy.
