Steamboat Trace Trail Update 10/28/2026

Cleanup has officially started on the closed section of the Steamboat Trace Trail south of Peru to the Honey Creek Bridge. Work is moving along quickly, and weather permitting, we anticipate reopening this section by the end of next week!

The closure is due to significant tree damage from the wildfire in late March. Until cleanup is complete, barricades will remain in place.

The trail remains open north of Peru and south of the Honey Creek Bridge.
