This month we’re celebrating our amazing educational diagnosticians, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support our students’ academic, social and emotional development.

Our educational diagnosticians are essential to our mission of “Developing Lifelong Learners." They play a vital role in identifying students' unique learning needs, helping to create pathways for success for every child. They advocate for students by understanding exactly how they learn best and working hand-in-hand with teachers and parents to develop effective educational strategies.

Please join us in thanking our educational diagnosticians for their passion, their expertise and their unwavering commitment to the children of Lafourche Parish.

🚌 Exciting news, LPSD families! The first wave of our brand-new school bus fleet is set to roll out as early as this week.

Through our partnership with First Student, the district is introducing 115 brand-new 2027 model school buses to replace our entire fleet districtwide. All buses will be replaced in phases, with the entire transition expected to be complete by the end of December.

While current routes and drivers will remain the same, a new numbering system is being introduced. Click here to locate your child’s updated bus number: https://www.mylpsd.com/page/bus-routes

The first buses to be phased in are as follows:
South: 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 411, 412
North: 301, 302, 303, 431

We are so excited to get these new buses on the road, but please be aware that there may be temporary interruptions in the functionality of the My Ride K-12 mobile parent app. We appreciate your patience as we complete the transition.

If you have any questions, please email the Transportation Department at [email protected].
