❤️ As Red Ribbon Week comes to a close, the commitment to prevention continues.

The conversations we have, the support we offer, and the opportunities we create all contribute to healthier individuals, stronger families, and safer communities.

Prevention isn't limited to one week—it grows through education, encouragement, and working together every day.

At NJAC, we're proud to stand alongside our community partners in promoting hope, resilience, and positive pathways forward.

Today marks the beginning of Red Ribbon Week, the nation's largest drug prevention awareness campaign.

Established in 1988 to honor DEA Special Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, Red Ribbon Week began as a community movement encouraging young people and families to make healthy choices and live drug-free lives. What started as a tribute has grown into a nationwide commitment to prevention, education, and hope.

At NJAC, we believe prevention begins with strong communities, supportive families, access to resources, and opportunities that empower individuals to make positive choices.

Together, we can continue creating environments where people are encouraged to grow, recover, and succeed.

A new week brings another opportunity to take a step forward.

Sometimes that step is finding the right resource.
Sometimes it's asking for help.
Sometimes it's simply deciding to try again.

Whatever your next step looks like, remember that progress doesn't have to happen all at once.

What is one thing you're working toward this week?

đź’™ Everyone deserves the opportunity to move forward.

A second chance can mean finding employment. Reconnecting with family. Finding stable housing. Accessing support. Or simply having someone believe that your next chapter can look different from your last.

At NJAC, we believe stronger communities are created when people have access to opportunities that help them build a path forward.

What does a second chance mean to you?
