Last week, at the Student Remembrance Ceremony, SGA leaders paused to honor and remember seven UA students who have passed away recently. Each of them left a lasting impact on their friends, classmates, and family. Their influence will continue to live on throughout the campus. As we reflect, we stand together in gratitude for their lives, their legacies, and the people who loved them.
The loss of a student in the campus community is a tragic event and the University remains committed to responding with care and support. If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available through the UA Counseling Center. They can be reached by calling 205-348-3863, visiting 3000 South Lawn Office Building (1101 Jackson Avenue), or via their website (counseling.sl.ua.edu).
A special thanks to the Office of the President and Student Care and Wellbeing / Dean of Students for hosting the ceremony.
