In Memory of Paramedic Michael Estep
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that AMED announces the passing of our longtime colleague, friend, and dedicated Paramedic, Michael “Mike” Estep.
For 31 years, Mike proudly served AMED and the communities that depend on us, dedicating much of his life to helping others in their greatest moments of need. Throughout his career, he answered countless calls for help, provided care and comfort to those facing emergencies, and contributed to the mission of an organization he called home for more than three decades.
A career spanning 31 years in emergency medical services is more than a measure of time. It represents a lifetime of commitment, sacrifice, compassion, and service. Behind those years are countless patients, families, coworkers, and fellow emergency responders whose lives crossed paths with Mike's.
Mike was more than an employee of AMED. He was part of our history, part of our family, and part of the many changes as our organization has grown. His years of dedication and service will forever be a part of AMED's legacy.
Today, our entire AMED family mourns alongside Mike's loved ones, friends, and colleagues.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his son, mother and family.
We ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
Mike, thank you for 31 years of unwavering dedication to AMED, your fellow providers, and the communities you served. Your service will always be remembered, and your absence will be deeply felt.
Rest easy, Mike. Your shift is complete. We'll take it from here.
