🎶 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🎻🎷

Our Valley Park High School Music Appreciation students are taking their learning beyond the classroom and into the St. Louis music scene!

Through this dual credit course with St. Louis Community College (STLCC), students can earn three college credits that count toward Missouri's Core 42 humanities requirements.

As part of the course, students attend live musical performances and write reviews, putting their classroom learning into practice!

This week, students experienced the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and next week, they're headed to Jazz St. Louis! 🎼

What a great opportunity to experience different musical styles while earning college credit! 💙🧡

Congratulations to our Athletes of the Month, Joe Cook '28 (cross country) and Brooklyn Maddock '29 (volleyball), and our VPMS Students of the Month, Debora Reinaldo ’33 and Sarah Colvin ’32!

Joe, Sarah and Debora joined us in person for the recognition. Although Brooklyn couldn't attend, we were just as excited to celebrate her accomplishments!

Tonight was all about celebrating our seniors! 💙🧡

We were proud to recognize Kate and Kimberly, our volleyball and cross country seniors, for their dedication, hard work and the impact they’ve made on their teams throughout their time at Valley Park.

These two have given us so much to cheer for, and tonight it was our turn to celebrate them!

🎶 Congratulations to VPHS student Edward Price, who earned a spot in the All-District Choir this weekend!

Edward competed against talented singers from across St. Louis County, performing a prepared solo and sight-reading new music for an adjudicator.
