10/30 Downtown Project Update

IMPORTANT ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – Beginning next Monday morning, there will be frequent closures at the intersection of High Street and Main Street. High Street will remain accessible, but access between High Street and Main Street at this intersection will be closed during construction. Please plan accordingly, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through the construction area. Thank you for your patience!

Roads – JBI will continue to grade the road in various locations in preparation for base-coat paving. The base-coat paving has been pushed back to the week of November 16. There will be single lane traffic during paving with frequent stops. Please account for extra time when traveling and remember to drive slowly!

Water – JBI is nearly done reconnecting water service lines. Once this work is done there will be only one section of main in front of the Tidewater to complete next spring.

Stormwater – JBI will continue work on the stormwater project near Camden National Bank and High Street next week. Throughout the week, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in this area, and there will be frequent closures at the intersection of High Street and Main Street. High Street will remain accessible, but access between High Street and Main Street at this intersection will be closed periodically. In case you haven't heard... Election Day is November 3rd! Tomorrow (Thursday, 10/29) is the last day to request an absentee ballot. On Tuesday November 3, polls are open 8AM to 8PM in the Town Office meeting room. All ballots must be received by 8PM to be counted. Come see us and get that very important "I VOTED" sticker! 😁

10/28 Downtown Project Update

Roads – JBI will continue to grade the road in various locations in preparation for base-coat paving. The base-coat paving has been pushed back to the week of November 16. There will be single lane traffic during paving with frequent stops. Please account for extra time when traveling and remember to drive slowly!

Water – JBI will be wrapping up work on the new water main, leaving only one section in front of the Tidewater to complete next spring.

Stormwater – JBI will continue working on the stormwater project near the post office as well as by Camden National Bank.

There will be single lane traffic during paving with frequent stops. Please account for extra time when traveling and remember to drive slowly!

Water – JBI will be transitioning customers from temporary water service to the new water main over the next day or so.

Stormwater – Over the next week or so, JBI will continue working on the stormwater project near the post office as well as by Camden National Bank.

Water – JBI will be transitioning customers from temporary water service to the new water main early next week. The Town is waiting for confirmation of the timing so we can ensure affected customers are notified in advance of any service disruptions.

Roads – This week, JBI will continue to prepare the road in various locations in preparation for base-coat paving. Grading will take place in between water and stormwater construction. Base-coat paving is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, November 4 through Friday, November 6. There will be single lane traffic during paving.

Water – JBI is focusing on completing as much of the water main project as possible over the next few days. They anticipate transitioning customers from temporary water service to the new water main by later this week or early next week. Affected customers will be notified in advance of any service disruptions. There will be single-lane traffic in the construction area. Please drive slowly and use caution around workers and equipment. Thank you!

10/19 Downtown Project Update

Roads – This week, JBI will continue to prepare the road in various locations in preparation for base-coat paving. Grading will take place in between water and stormwater construction. Base-coat paving is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, November 4 through Friday, November 6. There will be single lane traffic during paving.

Water & Stormwater – JBI is continuing work on both the water main and stormwater system on Main Street. They intend to wrap up as much of the water project as possible in the coming week or so and then switch temporary services onto the water main. Impacted customers will be informed in advance of any service disruptions. There will be single-lane traffic in the construction area. Please travel slowly around workers and equipment. Thank you!
