U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Wilson presented the DOJ Hometown Hero Award to Annie Czaruk, Executive Director of Fostering Hope, in recognition of her dedicated service to Oklahoma foster children. We are proud to highlight her commitment to supporting the well‑being of children across Oklahoma.
As we honor those who serve our communities, we also recognize the vital role first responders play in providing comfort during emergencies. One of the most important tools an officer can offer a child in crisis is care—and sometimes that comes in the form of a simple stuffed animal. These toys help provide reassurance and security to children who have experienced traumatic events.
In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma is proud to support the first responders of the Muskogee Police Department by ensuring they have a ready supply of stuffed animals in their patrol units whenever they respond to those in need.

As we join U.S. Attorneys' Offices nationwide in celebrating 250 years of American Independence, we are proud to highlight Detective Sergeant James “Jaime” Bradley, recently honored by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland as a Hometown Hero. 🇺🇸
