An important read about the why the Voting Rights Act matters in Texas.
The Supreme Court got it wrong. Congress can make it right by passing a new law, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, to protect right and the ability of voters to have a real say in elections in Texas and across the country and actually elect candidates of their choosing.
It's more important than ever for Texans to engage and participate in the work to ensure that all Texans and all Americans can have a real say at the ballot box.

We should do this every day. And we must honor them by continuing their defense of these ideals and our fellow Americans.
