👋 Hi! I'm Sterling, and I'm this week's Pet of the Week! I'm a pretty laid-back kind of guy. 😎

The shelter volunteers say I'm super chill, easygoing, and pretty good on a leash. And from what they've seen so far, I seem to get along with other dogs, too.

Now, I may have been described as a bit chunky. Personally, I prefer to think of myself as a distinguished gentledog with a fuller figure. 😂 And if you've seen me walk, you might have noticed I've got a pretty adorable wiggle going on. What can I say? Some of us just have a little extra flair. 😉

So, if you're looking for a sweet, low-key companion who doesn't need a packed social calendar and comes with a little extra wiggle, I might just be your guy.

Come meet me! ❤️ Sterling 🐾

Our final Whisker Wednesday of 2026 is coming up! This monthly program helps Weatherford and Parker County residents humanely manage community cat populations through free spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations.

Here’s what you need to know:

📅 Wednesday, October 28
⏰ Drop-off begins at 8 AM
📍 Weatherford Animal Shelter
🐈 First 100 cats accepted

Cats must arrive in a live raccoon-sized trap, with only one cat per trap. Each cat will receive spay/neuter surgery, FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, and a right ear notch to identify them as altered.

Pickup is the same day at the time provided during drop-off. After pickup, cats must remain in their traps in a climate-controlled environment overnight to recover safely.

Thank you to everyone who has participated this year! Let’s finish the year strong and continue making a difference, one cat at a time. ❤️🐾
