Today is National First Responders Day, and I want to take a moment to recognize the men and women who serve our communities here in Hamilton County. As Sheriff, I will never show enough appreciation to them. They deserve all the praise.
Our first responders are there when people need help the most. Whether it’s our deputies, firefighters, EMS, dispatchers, or other emergency personnel, they put others before themselves and do a job that is not always easy.
I see firsthand the dedication, hard work, and sacrifices that go into this line of work. It takes a special kind of person to answer that call, and I’m proud and honored to work alongside so many good people who do just that.
To all of our first responders, thank you for what you do, for the sacrifices you make, and for the families who support you along the way.
I also need to recognize and remind everyone about the many volunteers throughout Hamilton County who give their time; often away from their own families and jobs, to help their neighbors in times of need. Their commitment to their communities deserves just as much recognition and appreciation.
Thank you for serving and protecting Hamilton County.
