A lot of time, hard work, and preparation goes into getting ready for each new EMT and AEMT course. From preparing the classroom and equipment to planning lessons, scheduling clinicals, and getting everything ready for our students, there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before the first day of class.

We’ve been busy getting everything in place, and we’re excited to welcome our Fall 2026 EMT and AEMT students to Morgan County EMS Training & Education Institute!

We’re looking forward to another semester of teaching, hands-on training, and watching our students grow into confident, capable EMS professionals.

To our incoming students, we hope you’re ready! It’s going to be a busy few months, but we’re excited to get started and can’t wait to see what this group accomplishes.

Here’s to another great cohort and another group of future EMS professionals! 🚑

See y’all next week!

🚨 KEEP KIDS SAFE AT THE SORGHUM FESTIVAL! 🎡🌾

The Sorghum Festival is a wonderful time for families, but with large crowds, it’s important to take a few simple steps to help keep our children safe.

👧📸 Take a current photo of your child before you arrive.
📱 Write your phone number on your child’s arm or a wristband.
📍 Choose a family meeting place when you arrive.
👮‍♂️ Point out first responders and festival workers to your children.
🤝 Remind kids to stay close and never leave with a stranger.

If your child becomes separated or missing, notify a first responder or festival official immediately. Don’t search alone—quick reporting can help responders act faster.

A few minutes of preparation can make a big difference. ❤️

Stay close. Stay prepared. Enjoy the festival! 🌾🎡

Come see us this Saturday at the Team Heart & Stroke 5K Run/Walk & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run! ❤️🏃

Morgan County EMS Training & Education Institute will be set up at the event providing FREE ECG screenings as part of our commitment to heart health, prevention, and early detection.

Each participant will receive a printed copy of their ECG to take to their primary care physician for follow-up if needed. We will not interpret ECGs unless an immediate life-threatening concern is identified. Anyone under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a consent form before the screening.

Heart disease and stroke can sometimes develop without obvious warning signs. Knowing your blood pressure, recognizing symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, or palpitations, and keeping up with routine healthcare visits are all important parts of protecting your heart.

📅 Saturday, September 12, 2026
⏰ Registration begins at 7:30 AM
🏁 Race begins at 9:00 AM

Stop by, see us, get a free ECG, and learn a little more about taking care of your heart. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday! ❤️

**Screening ECGs do not replace evaluation by your healthcare provider. If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, fainting, or another medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate medical care.**
