November is a time to honour the strength of premature babies, celebrate the families who navigate the NICU journey, and recognize the incredible healthcare teams who care for our tiniest fighters.

Parents had the chance last night to receive some care!

Students from Bryant college came and gave massages to caregivers and there were some relaxing art and crafts. 🎨

This month, parents created some cute Halloween decorations. that they could add during their baby's stay in the nicu. 🥰

Stepping away from the isolate to take care of yourself and be creative even for a few minutes can be memorable and a much needed reset!

One incredible night can help families through some of their hardest ones.

Nearly half (49%) of mothers and birthing parents of premature babies report experiencing mental health challenges during or after pregnancy.

For some families, those challenges continue long after their baby leaves the NICU.

On November 5, the Little Lights, Big Hearts Gala brings our community together for a beautiful evening with an important purpose: helping CPBF provide critical mental health resources and support for premature babies and their families across Canada.

Come enjoy an incredible night of dining, music, celebration and connection and help make sure families have somewhere to turn when they need support.

💜 September is NICU Awareness Month. 💜

What exactly is a NICU?

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a specialized hospital unit caring for newborn babies who are born too early, are very small, or need extra medical support after birth.

For NICU families, the journey can be filled with uncertainty, long days, tiny milestones, and emotions that are difficult to put into words. But it is also a place of strength, hope, extraordinary medical care, and incredible love.

NICU teams work around the clock to help these tiny babies grow stronger—and families are an important part of that journey. Family-centred care and partnership are an essential part of supporting babies and their parents.

This September, help us spread awareness.

​We are here to celebrate your unique journey. We honor the unique comfort, nutrition, and powerful medicine that breast milk can provide. We also fiercely celebrate the connection and bond you build with your baby, no matter how they are fed. You are doing an incredible job.
