An appeal for our community's compassion and action.

In the United States, we protect the right to practice any religion, or no religion at all. What unites us across these differences is a commitment to human dignity. Throughout history, faith communities have played vital roles in justice movements, including the civil rights movement. Today, faith leaders across our country are heeding that call again—showing up at detention centers, risking arrest, a voice for the most vulnerable.

The images attached are intended to show how people across different worldviews share a commitment to protecting children.

Hundreds of children in refugee foster care face sudden removal through no fault of their own. Long-standing pathways to legal residency and citizenship have recently narrowed, leaving these youth facing removal or deportation in just 30 days.

There are hundreds of children in refugee foster care facing sudden removal through no fault of their own. Long standing pathways to legal residency and citizenship have recently narrowed, leaving these youth facing removal or deportation in just 30 days. It is critical that we advocate for these children, who have come here alone and do not have families of their own to rely on. Right now, legal service providers are completely overwhelmed, and it is nearly impossible to adjust their immigration status in such a short window without attention from the media. We urgently need your voice and advocacy - please repost this message, help us by contacting the media, content creators and get in touch with your state and federal representatives immediately.
