💙 THANK YOU, LC FRN! 💙
A heartfelt and sincere thank you to the Lewis County Family Resource Network and other community volunteers for stepping up in an extraordinary way when our community needed it most during and following the July 21st flood disaster.
In the immediate aftermath, when so many families were facing uncertainty, loss, and overwhelming challenges, the Lewis County FRN answered the call. They helped coordinate, assemble, and manage the donation center, bringing together agencies, volunteers, resources, and community partners to make sure those affected could find help and support.
Their work goes far beyond organizing a donation center, though. They helped coordinate relief efforts, connect families with essential resources, organize donations and assistance, and continually respond to the changing needs of our community throughout the recovery process.
Disaster recovery is not measured in days or weeks- it is a long process, and the compassion, coordination, and commitment shown by the Lewis County Family Resource Network and other volunteers have made a meaningful difference for countless individuals and families.
Thank you for your tireless work, your leadership, and for being there for Lewis and Upshur Counties when they needed you most. Acting Emergency Management Director Keith Talbert continuously says that making that early morning phone call to Deana was one of the best decisions he made during the flood. LCOEM needed someone they could trust, and the FRN delivered. Your dedication to helping our neighbors recover and rebuild will not be forgotten.
The Donation Center is open AT THIS TIME Wed-Fri, 9a - 3p. Needs are continuously being reassessed. Follow the Lewis County Mutual Aid - WV and Lewis County Family Resource Network FaceBook pages for continuous updates.
