I would like to give a HUGE shout out to our post member, Alan Sanner. Alan was the recipient of a "Quilt of Valor" Alan was the recipient for the State of Tennessee at the VFW Southern Conference held in Mobile, Alabama this weekend. We also got to tour the USS Alabama and met with Bernard "Ben" J. Teevan, he at 101 years old is one of only two surviving members of the USS Alabama. For me it was an honor to see our own Alan Sanner Post 12244 Quartermaster receive the Quilt of Valor and to meet Ben Teevan this weekend, it was a good weekend in Mobile, Alabama.
