Yesterday Squad 25, 258, B11, B17, and the New Castle County Paramedics responded to a vehicle accident on Rockland Road. Multiple patients were transported to local area hospitals.

At approximately 2:45am, Station 25 was dispatched to a reported Structure Fire in the area of the Concord Square shopping center. Squad 25 and 258B responded and arrived to find a vehicle fire in the construction site behind the Concord Square shopping center. The incident was reduced to Station 25 units and the fire was quickly extinguished.

Squad 25, C25, F25, 258, and 258B responded to the report of a vehicle collision with a rollover in the area of Concord Pike and Half Acre Drive. Units arrived and found one patient trapped in a rolled over vehicle. The patient was quickly extricated. 2 patients were transported to local area hospitals.

On Friday Squad 25, 258, and A25 responded to Northminster for a vehicle into a house. Upon arrival, crews found a pickup truck that was partially through the exterior wall of a residence. USAR 13 from the Claymont Fire Company responded to shore up the home. The county building inspector also responded. The incident was turned over to New Castle County Police.

With the recent sales of Rescue Engine 256 and Quint 257, there have been questions about the replacement of these units. To replace these units, the Talleyville Fire Company has ordered a 2026 Pierce Saber Pumper that is expected to be delivered in December of 2026. This unit will go in service as Engine 25 upon its arrival.
This engine includes:
- 70" cab w/ 10" raised roof
- 31' 5.5" OAL / 9' 5" OAH
- Low hose bed (appx 5' 2")
- 510 HP Paccar MX-13
- Side Roll & Frontal Impact Protection
- 152" medium body
- 1000 gallon poly tank
- 1500 GPM Waterous CSU
- Whelen Emergency Lighting
- HiViz LED Lighting Scene Lighting

After over 2 decades of service to the Talleyville Fire Company, 257 has been sold to Pottstown Fire Department & Emergency Management. We wish them luck and hope that 257 will serve them as well as it served us.

Earlier today Squad 25, C25, F25, and 258 responded to a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment on Kennet Pike in the area of Campbell Road. Crews arrived and determined all patients had self extricated. Crews evaluated multiple patients on scene.

Yesterday, Squad 25 and 258C responded to the report of a vehicle fire. Initial reports indicated that subjects were trapped in the vehicle and the assignment was upgraded adding an engine from Brandywine Hundred Fire Company No.1. After arrival, it was determined that there were no occupants in the vehicle and Squad 25 extinguished the fire.
