🎉 20 Years of Impact: From Text-A-Tip to Today's HELP Line

đź’ś Support became as close as a text message! What began as Text-A-Tip, a confidential way for young people to reach out for help, has grown into today's HELP Line, providing free, confidential support whenever it's needed. Through the Wilmington Coalition's commitment to connecting youth and families with resources, this service has continued to evolve, making it easier to ask questions, share concerns and connect with someone who cares.

🎉 20 Years of Impact: Connecting Our Community to Resources

đź’ś Sometimes the most important resource is knowing where to turn. Through community partnerships, the Wilmington Coalition helped create the Wilmington Community Resource Directory, bringing information on mental health, substance use, food, housing, medical care, transportation and other essential services together in one accessible place. By making resources easier to find, we're helping connect individuals and families with the support they need.

🎉 20 Years of Impact: Bringing Behavioral Health Support Closer to Home

đź’ś Help shouldn't feel far away. For many Wilmington families, accessing behavioral health services once meant traveling outside the community to find the care and support they needed. Through partnerships and a commitment to improving local resources, the Wilmington Coalition helped bring counseling services directly into Wilmington, making it easier for individuals and families to access support closer to home.

🎉 20 Years of Impact: Bringing Naloxone Into the Community

đź’ś Sometimes prevention means being prepared to save a life! The Wilmington Coalition has worked to expand awareness, education and access to naloxone, a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. By helping community members understand how naloxone works and why having it available matters, WCHC is empowering individuals and families to be prepared when every second counts.

🎉 20 Years of Impact: Bringing the H.E.R.O. Experience to Wilmington

đź’ś Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we can give families! As part of its ongoing commitment to prevention and education, the Wilmington Coalition brought the interactive H.E.R.O. trailer to Sharefest, giving parents and caregivers an opportunity to learn how to recognize potential signs of substance use. Through hands-on education and real-world examples, this experience helped families build awareness, start important conversations and feel more confident protecting the young people in their lives.

🎉 20 Years of Impact: Small Actions, Safer Homes

đź’ś A safer community can start with something as simple as cleaning out your medicine cabinet! For years, the Wilmington Coalition has worked alongside local partners and law enforcement to help families safely dispose of unused, expired and potentially dangerous prescription medications. Through Prescription Drug Take Back events, these partnerships have helped remove dozens of pounds of medications from local homes at a time, reducing the risk of accidental poisoning, misuse and medications falling into the wrong hands. Small actions add up to safer homes, healthier families and a stronger Wilmington.
