Last week, we had the opportunity to join a roundtable hosted by City of Wilmington, NC Tree Commission to discuss how updates to City codes could meaningfully improve our local tree canopy while also supporting efforts to reduce costs for homeowners, renters, and the businesses who provide housing and housing-related services in our community.

We were honored to be a part of the discussion and to advocate for policies that promote housing affordability, strategic density, and regulatory reform that works for all stakeholders.

Special thanks to our friends at Cape Fear Group of the Sierra Club and Alliance for Cape Fear Trees for capturing these photos! 🏡

Thank you to everyone who attended our Candidate Forum last night, to the candidates for sharing their time and insights, and to our moderator Tom Gale of Team Gale!

Whether you rent, own, or are currently between places, housing affordability touches every person in our community and is a critical issue for our elected representatives to address.
