💚DIGNITY-THROUGH-EXCHANGE♻️

Although our facilities are open 24/7 as a free recycling service to the public, our main objectives are to see the upliftment of people! Our dignity-through-exchange trading program is open twice a week for individuals to collect recyclables and exchange them for items in our Trade Store. We long to see everyone have a hand up in bettering their circumstances and the world in which they live! ♻️ 💚♻️

✨ 40 Days. 40 Items. ✨

This Lent, let’s clear the clutter and fill someone else’s life with hope 💚

From Feb 18 – April 5, remove one item a day — clothing, bedding, food or household goods you no longer use — and set it aside.

Then 👉 Donate on Easter to Re-Trade and help bless families in need.

Small daily steps. Big collective impact.

Who’s in? 🙋‍♀️

Come recycle with us! Every time you recycle your materials turns trash into cash and the cash turns into food which is bought on a point program used by Traders in our Dignity Through Exchange program.

So just like that, you turn 🗑️ into 💵 into 🥘 into ❤️ and into ✊🏽

Happy international volunteers day. What a better day to post and celebrate our amazing volunteers at the Re-Trade project whom we had the privilege of celebrating this week!

Here is a word of thanks from our ED:

To all the incredible volunteers of the ReTrade Project,

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

What you give is far more than your time and energy — you give hope, dignity, and opportunity. Every item sorted, every exchange facilitated, every smile shared plays a part in restoring value, not just to materials, but to people. You are the hands and hearts behind a movement that proves bartering is not dead, that sustainability is possible, and that compassion can radically change lives.

As the Director of the ReTrade Project, I am deeply humbled by your commitment, your kindness, and your belief in the vision. You show up again and again, not because you have to, but because you care — and that is extraordinary.

Thank you for standing with us, for lifting others up, and for helping turn “waste” into worth. This work simply wouldn’t be possible without you.

With endless gratitude,
Maria Grewar
