If a country gets caught in a war like the Gulf states might, no one will truly protect it. Security guarantees are not always real. A city like Dubai could still be destroyed, and its economy damaged for years. Because of this, countries may feel they must protect themselves, and the strongest deterrent is nuclear weapons. That’s why more countries may try to get nuclear weapons in the coming years.
So if the goal of this war was to keep the current nuclear balance, it actually did the opposite. The real goal, some believe, is to change the world order and start a new era in history.
People supporting this war are often in two groups. One group is motivated by religious beliefs. Some religious Jews and some Christian Zionists believe these events help bring about the end of history, Armageddon, and the return of the Messiah. They believe history has a clear beginning and end, and that these events can speed it up. But the idea that humans can force God’s plan is mistaken because God, not humans, controls history.
The second group is more secular. They support a future where technology rules the world — with things like mass surveillance, advanced technology, and even merging humans with machines. Many believe this technological age is inevitable and that this war could be the turning point that begins it.
So this war is not just about Iran or nuclear weapons. It is about changing the global system and starting a new period in human history. Wars like this are not solved quickly because they are driven by deep beliefs about the future of humanity.
