Ambassador Krit discusses trade opportunities with leading business sectors of San Juan province.

On 17 September 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat met with executives and members of the Industrial Union of San Juan (UISJ) and the Foreign Chamber of Commerce of San Juan (CACEX). Both sides exchanged views on the current state of trade and economic cooperation between Thailand and San Juan province, took stock of proposals from local companies interested in doing business with Thailand, as well as discussed ways to connect entrepreneurs and foster business matching in products such as w**e, grape juice, raisins, pistachios, olive oil, clean energy technology, and copper products, in support of Thailand’s food processing and manufacturing industries.

On 15 September 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat visited the Complejo Astronómico El Leoncito (CASLEO), one of Argentina's premier astronomical research centers and observatories, located in the El Leoncito reserve in San Juan province, to explore opportunities to promote astronomical cooperation between Thailand and Argentina.

On 15 September 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat visited the office of Los Azules copper mining project in Calingasta department, San Juan province. The Ambassador was briefed on the project’s potential in producing green copper and explored opportunities to strengthen supply chain connectivity between Argentine mining companies and Thai manufacturing industries.

On 14 September 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat visited the office of Energía Provincial Sociedad del Estado (EPSE), a state-owned energy enterprise under the Government of San Juan province, at San Juan city. The Ambassador was briefed on EPSE’s role and potential in renewable energy generation, as well as its business development plans for solar panel manufacturing. Looking ahead, both sides also explored opportunities to foster cooperation in clean energy technology between EPSE and the Thai private sector.

On 14 September 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat called on Mr. Marcelo Orrego, Governor of San Juan province, at the Government House of San Juan province. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between Thailand and San Juan province in various areas, such as trade in agricultural products, critical minerals, clean energy, and hospitality services, as well as people-to-people ties.

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ร่วมเสวนาเกี่ยวกับบทบาทของไทยและอาเซียนต่อ ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP)

เมื่อวันที่ 10 กันยายน 2569 เอกอัครราชทูตกฤษณ์ ตันคณารัตน์ พร้อมด้วยหัวหน้าคณะผู้แทนทางการทูตของประเทศสมาชิกคณะกรรมการอาเซียนประจำกรุงบัวโนสไอเรส (ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires: ACBA) เข้าร่วมการเสวนาหัวข้อ “National Foreign Policy and the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP)” ซึ่งจัดโดย Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI) สถาบันด้านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศของอาร์เจนตินา

ในโอกาสดังกล่าว เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้นำเสนอแนวทางนโยบายการต่างประเทศของไทยท่ามกลางบริบทโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว โดยเฉพาะพลวัตทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ การแข่งขันระหว่างประเทศมหาอำนาจ และความท้าทายด้านความมั่นคงรูปแบบใหม่ พร้อมทั้งแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองของไทยต่อ ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) ซึ่งมุ่งส่งเสริมภูมิภาคอินโด-แปซิฟิกที่เปิดกว้าง ครอบคลุม และยึดหลักการเจรจาและความร่วมมือ

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังเน้นย้ำความสำคัญของการเสริมสร้างบทบาทและความเป็นศูนย์กลางของอาเซียน ตลอดจนการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนให้สามารถตอบสนองต่อความท้าทายใหม่ ๆ อาทิ ความมั่นคงทางอาหาร ความมั่นคงทางพลังงาน ความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ อาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ และประเด็นข้ามพรมแดน เพื่อส่งเสริมสันติภาพ เสถียรภาพ และความเจริญรุ่งเรืองร่วมกันในภูมิภาค

Ambassador Participates in Discussion on Thailand and ASEAN’s Role in the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP)

On 10 September 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat, together with the Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA), participated in a discussion on “National Foreign Policy and the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP)”, organized by the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI).

On this occasion, Ambassador Tankanarat presented Thailand’s foreign policy approach in the context of a rapidly changing global environment, particularly evolving geopolitical dynamics, major-power competition, and emerging security challenges. He also shared Thailand’s perspective on the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP), which seeks to promote an Indo-Pacific region that is open, inclusive, and grounded in dialogue and cooperation.

The Ambassador also emphasized the importance of strengthening ASEAN’s role and centrality, as well as enhancing cooperation among ASEAN Member States so that the region can respond more effectively to emerging challenges, including food security, energy security, cybersecurity, transnational crime, and other cross-border issues, with a view to promoting peace, stability, and shared prosperity in the region.

เมื่อวันที่ 11 กันยายน 2569 เอกอัครราชทูตกฤษณ์ ตันคณารัตน์ เข้าร่วมพิธีลงนามความตกลงความร่วมมือระหว่าง มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพกับมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติ Avellaneda (Universidad Nacional de Avellaneda: UNDAV) ประเทศอาร์เจนตินา

พิธีดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นโดยความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติ Avellaneda และสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบัวโนสไอเรส โดยมี ผศ. ดร. สมยศ วัฒนากมลชัย รองอธิการบดีสายนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ และ นาย Jorge Calzoni อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติ Avellaneda เป็นผู้ลงนามในความตกลง

🌟 Ambassador Attends Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Agreement between Bangkok University and the National University of Avellaneda, Argentina

On 11 September 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat attended the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between Bangkok University and the National University of Avellaneda (Universidad Nacional de Avellaneda – UNDAV) of Argentina.

The ceremony was jointly organized by Bangkok University, the National University of Avellaneda, and the Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires. The agreement was signed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Somyot Wattanakamolchai, Vice President for International Affairs of Bangkok University, and Mr. Jorge Calzoni, Rector of the National University of Avellaneda.

On this occasion, the Ambassador congratulated both universities and highlighted the significance of the agreement in promoting educational, academic, and cultural cooperation between Thailand and Argentina. The agreement will provide opportunities for the two universities to develop concrete areas of cooperation, including exchanges of students and academic personnel, joint research and academic activities, as well as language and cultural exchanges. These initiatives will contribute to strengthening relations and mutual understanding between the peoples of Thailand and Argentina. 📖

The revision of Thailand’s visa exemption and VoA schemes 2026 for ordinary passports
Effective from 15 September 2026

🇦🇷 Argentina: Ordinary passport holders of Argentina are exempt from visa requirements for stays up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes under the bilateral Agreement on Visa Exemption.

🇵🇾 🇺🇾 Paraguay and Uruguay: Ordinary passport holders of Paraguay and Uruguay are required to apply for an e-Visa at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ prior to entry into Thailand.
