SA MET and Office for Research are going ‘ALL IN’ for National Reconciliation Week 🖤💛❤️

Our teams had meaningful conversations about allyship with First Nations Peoples, amplifying Indigenous voices and how we challenge racism in our daily work and lives.
The 2026 theme, ‘All In,’ is a call for everyone to take real, everyday action to support reconciliation.

This week invites us all to learn about First Nations cultures, histories, and achievements, while acknowledging past injustices and ongoing inequalities, and committing to a more respectful and united future.

Today is . SA MET acknowledges and remembers the Stolen Generations, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children forcibly taken from their families under past government policies.

We reflect on this history, show respect for survivors and their families, and commit to real change by listening, learning, and supporting healing and justice.

These Excellence Awards celebrate clinicians making a meaningful impact on medical education across every Local Health Network in our state.

We encourage you to nominate colleagues, either individuals or teams, who demonstrate excellence in teaching, leadership, collaboration, professionalism, and commitment to supporting prevocational medical education.

Award categories include:

> SA Minister for Health Award: Excellence in Advancing Prevocational Medical Education
> SA Health Chief Executive Recognition Award
> Team Culture Award
> Support and Debrief of Challenging Cases Award
> Outstanding Support in Rural and Remote Environments Award
> Interprofessional Medical Education and Training Award
