We recently gathered our team for a comprehensive staff training day dedicated to refreshing our hands-on knowledge of diesel pumps, oily water separators (OWS), and site safety procedures.

Working with heavy machinery like diesel pumps requires sharp technical skills and absolute adherence to high-risk safety protocols. Regular knowledge refreshers ensure that we eliminate potential technical failures, prevent workplace accidents, and continue delivering the highest standards of safety for everyone on site.

We ended the afternoon with team bonding session VR Zone Play! What a great laugh and lots of fun had by all!!

A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their active participation and ongoing commitment to keeping our workplace safe!

Last week, a crew of our expert technicians set off on the 9 hour journey to Coober Pedy to service two diesel engine fire pumps at a hospital. A full service, check, filter and coolant replacement was conducted to ensure the systems operate and run smoothly.

🔥Did you know that we travel around the whole of South Australia to provide servicing, maintenance and repair of fire pumps and oily water separator systems? Metro or rural, no matter the distance!!🔥

- installed a brand new John Deere engine, pump set and panel for one of our clients
- Travelled to Coober Pedy to service an electric and diesel engine at a hospital
- Travelled to Whyalla to replace welsh plugs and repair exhaust leaks on two diesel engines
- Serviced x3 oily water seperator systems

Jag Hire & Maintenance is looking for a motivated and reliable Permanent Full-Time Service Technician and Electrician to join our growing team.

About the Role:
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing fire pumpset systems and oily water seperator equipment to ensure they're safe and reliable for our clients across both metropolitan and rural South Australia. As well as the Fire industry with installation and maintenance of Fire pump sets. Full training for the Fire pump servicing will be provided.

What We're Looking For:
✅ Mechanical attitude and problem-solving skills
✅ Experience or knowledge with pumps, diesel equipment or small engines. Electrical knoweldge (preferred but not essential)
✅ Strong work ethic and attention to detail
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Current driver's licence (essential)
✅ Must have a White Card
✅ Must be willing to obtain Covid-19 and Flu vaccinations
✅ Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
✅ Must be willing to obtain a Police Clearance, Working with Children and Aged Care Check (essential)
