We are all leaves on the same tree
In celebration of Reconciliation Week 2026—guided by this year’s theme, All In—our First Nations students created a vibrant reconciliation board to remind us that, just as every leaf grows on the same tree, every person belongs to our shared home—Australia. Each leaf, crafted by a First Nations student and their invited friend, symbolises the unique stories, cultures, and connections that help our community grow strong.
Throughout the week, classes have explored the theme through activities that encourage reflection, conversation, and a deeper understanding of reconciliation. The 2026 NRW theme, “All In”, invites all Australians to take part and contribute to reconciliation in their own way, every day. It encourages each of us to play a meaningful role in making positive change, together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Reconciliation is about coming together: acknowledging our past, respecting each other, and shaping a future where everyone is valued and included. This collaborative reconciliation board is a visual reminder that, no matter our backgrounds, we all contribute to the rich and diverse canopy of our country.
At Woodcroft Primary School, we are proud to be all in for reconciliation.
