Day for Daniel 2026 | Friday 30 October ❤️

For twenty years the Daniel Morecombe Foundation has been committed to building a future where children are safe from harm and abuse and have the opportunity to thrive.

Established in 2005, the Foundation began as a mission to find Daniel. Today, it is a powerful force for educating children, supporting young victims of crime, and helping families of missing persons.

đź‘• Join us by wearing RED on Friday 30 October and sharing one resource with your children, playgroup families or networks from the Keeping Kids Safe Booklet (linked).

It's Children's Week 24 October to 1 November!

The theme for 2026 is: Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion (based on Article 30 of the UNCRC).

Our programs and services are celebrating children's rights through play and connection and advocate for children to be seen, heard and celebrated in communities across Australia.

The artwork you see is by 10-year-old Aurore who said, "Australia is a welcoming and multicultural community that is composed of many unique individuals with similarities and differences. I am new to this country, and I am learning English in the Introductory English Centre. We can unite in our belief that all people, including children, have the right to be heard when they project kindness, respect and harmony in our community. We can proudly celebrate our language, culture and religion."

In Queensland 's Rights Queensland have published a new book, Hello You! to celebrate, and have a range of resources and information to support and uphold the rights of children.
