🎶 WHAT A NIGHT! 🎶

What an incredible evening showcasing the talent, creativity and passion of our music students!

From amazing student-led performances and MCs to the impressive lighting, visuals and sound production, there was so much to celebrate. A fantastic mix of musical styles and instruments highlighted the growing strength of our music program and the incredible talent we have here at ESC.

Our students were also fantastic ambassadors for our school values of Harmony, Respect, Resilience and Excellence, supporting one another and creating such a positive atmosphere throughout the night.

A massive thank you to our staff, families and everyone who helped make the evening such a success. And, of course, a huge shout-out to all our students who performed, worked behind the scenes or came along to support their friends!

We are so proud of what our students are achieving. The future of music at ESC is looking very exciting! 👏🎸🎤

Make sure you don't miss the next one!

🍀 GOOD LUCK, YEAR 12s!

As our Class of 2026 started their exams today with English, we want to wish all of our year 12's the very best!

We know how much hard work, dedication and preparation you’ve put into getting to this point. Trust in what you’ve learned, back yourselves and remember that you are more prepared than you think.

Exams are an important milestone and an opportunity to show what you know, but we want you to remember one very important thing: your exams do not define you, and they certainly don’t define your future.

Your ATAR, your results and the marks you receive are just one small part of your story. They don’t measure your kindness, your resilience, your character or all the incredible things you have to offer the world. There are so many different pathways to success, and this is just the beginning of yours.

Take a deep breath, do your best, believe in yourselves and be proud of how far you’ve come. Whatever the outcome, your journey doesn’t end here!

We are incredibly proud of you, Year 12s, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. You’ve got this! ❤️🤍💙

🧠 YEAR 11 PSYCHOLOGY

Revision doesn't have to be boring! Our Year 11 Psychology students took a creative and collaborative approach to their learning by working together to map out their course content on the whiteboard.

From revisiting key concepts to sharing knowledge and supporting one another, it was a fantastic way to consolidate their learning and prepare for upcoming assessments.

Great to see our students working together and taking an active role in their learning! 💙⚪❤️

🏏 YEAR 8 CRICKET DAY!

Emerald Secondary College had a boys’ team and a girls’ team compete at the Year 8 Cricket Day last week.

Everyone did a fantastic job, showing great effort, enthusiasm and a willingness to give cricket a go. For many students, it was their first time playing, which can be a little daunting when facing a hard ball and fast bowling! 😅 It was great to see everyone step outside their comfort zone, get involved and give it their best.

A special shout out to Noah, Hemi and Reece from Year 7, who stepped up to help fill the boys’ team and ensure they could participate. Thanks for your support!

Well done to everyone involved! 💙❤️🤍
