As we reflect on a devastating weekend on our roads, this image is a reminder that every layer of motorcycle safety matters.

For riders, that starts with safe riding. Ride to the conditions, know your limits and don't push beyond them.

Wearing the right protective gear matters too. It's not just about comfort or appearance; it's another layer of protection when the unexpected happens.

For drivers, the need to look out for riders doesn't end with Motorcycle Awareness Month. Before turning, merging or entering an intersection, take that extra moment and make sure a rider isn't there.

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Danielle Drew.

A warrant has been issued for the 37-year-old's arrest in relation to drug possession, criminal damage, contravening family violence intervention order, and failing to answer bail.

Drew is known to frequent Mornington Peninsula, Frankston, and Geelong areas.

Noah is missing.

The 16-year-old was last seen in Carrum Downs on Thursday 22 October.

Noah is described as Caucasian, 5' 10, black dyed hair, with no distinguishing features, and was last seen wearing a dark pair of shorts, black t-shirt, grey hoodie, black backpack.

Police and family have concerns for his safety.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Frankston Uniform (03) 9784 5555.

Isabella is missing.

The 14-year-old was last seen at an address in Frankston at 11:30am on Thursday 29 October 2026.

Isabell was last seen wearing a Secondary collage fleece jacket, with black pants, black runners and is described as Caucasian, 5' 5, sandy blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information or who sights Isabell is urged to contact Frankston Police Station on 03 9784 5555.

More than 2,900 speeding offences were detected during the AFL Grand Final long weekend, and we’re warning drivers not to make the same mistake this Melbourne Cup break.

Operation Furlong kicks off on Friday, with officers out in force across Victoria targeting speeding and other high-risk behaviours.

Last year, almost 3,000 drivers were caught speeding during the operation, with most travelling 10km/h to 25km/h over the limit.

If you’re heading away this weekend, slow down, allow extra travel time and remember: getting there safely is more important than getting there fast.

Police in Frankston intercepted more than 150 vehicles during a single operation targeting unsafe drivers and unroadworthy vehicles.

The operation took place on 16 October where 153 vehicles were checked, and each driver breath tested.

The 12-hour operation resulted in:
• 31 offences identified
• 22 Penalty Infringement Notices issued
• Seven drivers caught behind the wheel unlicenced
• Six driving whilst suspended
• Five unregistered vehicles
• Two unroadworthy cars
• Two drink and drug drivers
• Two drivers fined by the EPA for noisy vehicles
• One careless driver
• One vehicle impounded

Similar operations will continue in the future.

Acting Sergeant Cara Dergacz said "driving is a privilege and not a right. Safety on the roads is everyone’s responsibility.”

Frankston Police x Frankston & District Netball Association (Jubilee Park) Community Engagement Day 2026 🏐👮‍♀️

On Saturday 24 October, Frankston Police joined forces with the FDNA for our annual Community Engagement Round at Jubilee Park!

Despite some wet weather, over 80 games of Netball were played across the day, with umpires selecting a standout player from each match who best displayed teamwork, fairness and community spirit. Each recipient was proudly presented with a medal and vouchers, all generously donated by our amazing local Frankston businesses.

The day culminated in the annual exhibition match between Police and a representative team from FDNA. After strong preseason training and an inspiring coaching address by A/Inspector Williams, Victoria Police finally secured the trophy this year 🏆

The day was a huge success and a fantastic celebration of community connection. Sergeant Sensible also joined in on the fun and was a crowd favourite among players of all ages 🚓

📹 Appeal For Dashcam or Witnesses 📹

At around 8.00pm on Thursday 22nd October, Somerville Highway Patrol members detected a BMW coupe allegedly traveling at 224km/h using a speed laser, northbound on Frankston Freeway in Seaford.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle, however as they activated their lights and sirens, the vehicle accelerated away from police on Eastlink, continuing to drive at dangerously excessive speeds.

This morning, an 18-year-old Clyde North man who held his probationary licence for 3 months, was arrested and interviewed in relation to the incident and will face court in relation to reckless endangerment and dangerous speed.

VIPER Taskforce and To***co Licensing Victoria (TLV) continue to target organised crime groups profiting from the illicit to***co trade, with 100 stores now closed under new enforcement powers.

Since the powers came into effect on 9 September, investigators have seized more than four million illicit ci******es, 70,000 vapes, 3 tonnes of to***co, and approximately $1M in cash.

So far, VIPER taskforce and TLV have visited stores in Melbourne C*D, Tarneit, Truganina, Deer Park, Hoppers Crossing, Werribee, South Yarra, Prahran, St Kilda, Geelong, Footscray, Frankston, Dandenong, Craigieburn, Broadmeadows, Sunbury, Lalor, Ringwood, Caulfield, Boronia, Lilydale, Moe, Morwell.

The operation remains ongoing with VIPER Taskforce continuing to target illicit to***co stores linked to organised crime, including syndicates with offshore leadership.
