There are certain events across the school year that serve as a powerful reminder of how fortunate I am to be the principal of such an exceptional school community. Yesterday’s Performing Arts Concert was one of those moments.
Watching our students take the stage and truly come alive in their element is always a highlight. It is hard not to feel an overwhelming sense of pride, seeing what our students are capable of.
What was equally inspiring was seeing the depth of skill that has been carefully developed and nurtured by our incredible staff. The level of performance was a reflection of their dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to our students.
A special thank you must go to Zara France, Adam Owens, Hannah Cho, and Stephanie Bridge, our wonderful “adopted” dance teacher from Ormeau Woods State High School. Your passion, energy, and support brought the concert to life in such a meaningful way.
Our hall was overflowing with families and community members, to the point that it simply could not contain the number of people who came to celebrate the talent at Ormeau State School. It was a wonderful problem to have, and a clear sign of just how valued these performances are.
With that in mind, we are already looking ahead to bigger and better venues for our end-of-year Performing Arts Spectacular, so we can continue to share and celebrate our students’ achievements with the wider community in a way they truly deserve.
