UNDER 8'S DAY // We are excited to celebrate Under 8’s Day on Thursday 25 June as we join in this year’s theme, Celebrating 70 Years of Under 8’s.
Our youngest learners will enjoy a morning filled with play-based activities, creativity, exploration and fun as we recognise the importance of learning through play in the early years.
We look forward to celebrating together and sharing a wonderful morning of learning and fun with our students.

MET EAST TRIALS // Congratulations to the four students Annabel, River, Lucie, and Diogo who proudly represented Riverside Rays at the Met East trials on Tuesday.
With the lead-up of rainy days, the course was slippery and at times challenging to navigate. Despite the conditions, all students did an amazing job representing themselves, our school, and their zone with great effort and sportsmanship.
A special congratulations to Annabel for her outstanding achievement in being selected for the Met East team. We are incredibly proud of you all!

SORRY DAY // This week, our school community recognised National Sorry Day and the beginning of National Reconciliation Week.
As part of our reflection and learning, each student decorated a flower to place on our purple circle display near Yinnell Place. The purple native hibiscus was chosen as a symbol of National Sorry Day because of its resilience wheb growing in difficult environments, with the colour purple representing compassion and healing.

GROW Well - LEADERSHIP // This term, our upper school students have been engaging with the character strength of Leadership, both through GROW Well lessons and the Year 5 students also taking part in the UPP incursion looking at leading without a badge.
Our school has many leadership positions to nominate for, but they are not the only way to lead. By taking responsibility, helping others without being asked and ensuring everyone has a voice, we can all grow our leadership skills regularly.
