“Walk In Her Shoes” is a powerful exhibition sharing the stories of three women with lived experience of homelessness, helping uncover the hidden realities many people face in our communities❤️

Alongside the exhibition, a special community forum in Box Hill will bring together local voices, advocates and community leaders to explore the changes needed to help end homelessness in Whitehorse and beyond.

The Salvation Army’s John Cullen will be part of the panel conversation, alongside other local leaders and lived experience advocates, discussing the realities of homelessness and the importance of community-led solutions.

📍 Box Hill Community Arts Centre
📅 Exhibition: 29 June – 5 July
🗓 Community Forum: Wednesday 1 July, 6.30pm

We’d love to see you there as we listen, learn and continue the conversation together.

From small actions to life-changing impact ❤️♻️

A heartfelt thank you to TOMRA Cleanaway and every single person across Victoria’s West Zone who chose to donate their container refunds.

Together, you’ve helped raise more than $70,000 for The Salvation Army, supporting 561 crisis beds for people experiencing homelessness.

It’s a powerful reminder that when community and sustainability come together, real change happens. Thank you for turning everyday moments into care for those who need it most.

We’re proud to celebrate a meaningful milestone under Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme - more than $70,000 donated to The Salvation Army - Victoria by generous recyclers across the CDS Vic West Zone.

This incredible achievement reflects thousands of everyday choices made at refund points, where recyclers have chosen to donate their container refunds to support vital community services. In real terms, this generosity represents 703,480 eligible drink containers returned and has helped provide 561 crisis beds for people experiencing homelessness.

Beyond reducing litter and keeping containers out of landfill, this milestone shows what’s possible when sustainability is paired with community spirit. Small actions really can add up to life‑changing outcomes❤️♻️

A huge thank you to everyone across the West Zone who has recycled, donated, and helped turn containers into care for those who need it most. Together, you’re proving recycling can protect the planet and support people.

A cause worth losing sleep over 29/04/2026

On a chilly April night in Shepparton, more than 100 people chose cold grass over comfort, standing in solidarity with young people experiencing homelessness ❤️

This is what happens when a community shows up for its young people.

You are warmly invited to step aside from the busyness of life and ministry, and join in a guided spiritual retreat.

This gentle and reflective retreat offers space for silence, prayer, stillness, and time aside with God. Through guided sessions, personal reflection and unhurried time with God, you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with your own spiritual rhythms.

Together, we will spend time with the theme "Exploring Our Scattered Senses" - a journey that invites us to notice, engage and deepen our faith through each of the senses God has given us.

We would love for you to come and share in this opportunity for a meaningful time of renewal.

Places are limited, so register your interest via the QR code provided or contact Heather Jenkins or Tracey Davies. Applications will close on May 8, 2026.
