Kalinda Primary School A Government Primary School in Ringwood, Victoria, Australia Information and communication technology is well-resourced and incorporated across the curriculum.

Kalinda Primary School is home to an energetic learning environment and to teachers who continually seek ways to further improve our excellent programs so that every child's individual learning needs are met. Kalinda offers a diverse range of specialist programs, including those in music and performing arts, visual arts, physical education and sport, environmental science and Japanese. Our Challenge and Opportunity program provides extension and support in all curriculum areas including literacy and mathematics, specialist and interest areas as well as Life Skills for children with disabilities and special needs. Kalinda's strong culture of values enjoys an excellent reputation in the local community. Our Quality Beginning program is conducted throughout the school for the first two weeks of each year. Kalinda has spacious, open-plan facilities and large sporting and recreational facilities. A new full-size basketball stadium with music and multi-use learning area complements these facilities. Out of School Hours Care is offered with morning and afternoon sessions. A free Active After School program is also offered on two afternoons per week. The staff at Kalinda are carefully selected to support our values-based culture.

On Friday, our selected Grade 5/6 students competed at the Division Cricket Gala Day, enjoying a fantastic day of cricket, competition and fun!

A pretty special moment was seeing our Kalinda 1 and Kalinda 2 Boys teams face off against each other in the grand final!

A huge well done to Kalinda 1 Boys team for taking out the win! 🏆

Congratulations to all our students on a fantastic day and thanks to staff and parents.

Thank you to Nicole Werner MP who presented our teachers with their special awards today, and donated a generous gift of books to our library.

Whilst our senior students and staff are in Japan, some Prep students have a very important (unscripted!) message they wanted sent to Mr McClare.

Our students worked hard in their Crews groups on Friday to make some (not so) top secret World Teacher Day gifts.

Meanwhile, last week the preps taught Arii Sensei a very important cultural lesson : Party dances!! We taught her the chicken dance, the Hokey Pokey and the Macarena. Now she’s ready to have a great Australian party!
