We had a fantastic Get Online Week session here last week with over 20 community members joining us to learn how to spot scams and stay safe online! Participants shared their experiences with detecting and avoiding scams, learnt about some new scams that are currently circulating, and enjoyed a delicious morning tea. Our Digital Skills teacher Ryan went through some key things to look out for in texts, emails and phone calls, that can help us identify a scam. We all agreed that it is important to ask for help if you think you have been scammed, anyone can be tricked! Some great questions were asked and we had heaps of fun with activities and role plays! Thanks to Good Things Foundation Australia for supporting this event!

Children's Week is here! Come on down and celebrate with us. We have three wonderful events on so take your pick, or come to all three!
The national Children's Week theme for 2026 is based on Article 30 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC): “Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion”. Celebrating our many languages, cultures and religions here in the Angliss community make us stronger, smarter and more connected!
TODAY: Monday October 26: Come along to this fun, interactive session where kids can make their own comic book in their language! Using visual storytelling we will celebrate and embrace the preservation of language and culture.
For 5–12 year-olds. Come with an idea, or we can help you find a new one!
Wednesday October 28: Join us for some singing and dancing fun in this relaxed performing arts play session in Spanish and English. For 2-5 year-olds and their families. Wear comfortable clothing. Come along and hop and bop with us - please bring a song to share in your language if you can!
Saturday October 31: Come down to Seelaf Square for loads of messy and active play, some spooky arts and crafts and a Free Sausage Sizzle! All ages welcome! How do you say "BOO!" in your language? Dress-ups welcome!
Check Facebook for event details or give us a call 9687 9908
