As we celebrate International Day of Rural Women this Thursday, 15 October, it’s the perfect opportunity to recognise a special woman who strengthens and enriches her community.

We invite you to nominate a rural woman who volunteers her time, – whether it’s supporting a local sporting club, coordinating community events, serving with emergency services or tirelessly contributing behind the scenes.

The Hidden Treasures Honour Roll is a non-competitive NSW Government recognition program for women and girls who volunteer in regional, rural and remote NSW.

Celebrate International Day of Rural Women by nominating a hidden treasure in your local community.

The Biosecurity (National Livestock Identification System) Regulation is being remade, and we want to hear from producers, livestock owners and supply chain participants across NSW.

🐑 Align NSW with national traceability standards
📋 Modernise and clarify requirements under the Regulation

These changes will also support the full rollout of mandatory eID for sheep and goats, which comes into effect on 1 January 2027.
Read the consultation paper and have your say before 8 October 2026.
