Dear Parents and Guardians,

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the highest-quality learning for all students, Reservoir East Primary School is in the process of implementing the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0). This evidence-based framework ensures that teaching is structured, sequenced, and tailored to build essential skills and knowledge progressively.

To gain the full benefit of this model, it is critical that students attend school every day, arrive on time, and remain for the full school day. Each lesson is designed to build on the previous one, and missing even part of a day can result in students missing key instruction, classroom discussions, and learning activities. Consistent attendance not only supports academic progress but also strengthens your child’s confidence, engagement, and sense of belonging in the school community.

To encourage punctuality and consistent attendance, we run a daily REPS Roll Call Raffle. Any student who arrives at school on time and remains until 3:10 pm is automatically entered into the draw to win a prize. This is a fun way to celebrate and reward students for being present and ready to learn every day.

We strongly encourage all families to prioritise regular attendance to ensure their child fully participates in the opportunities provided through the VTLM 2.0.

Thank you for your continued support in helping your child achieve their best learning outcomes.
