Grandparents & Grand Friends Day

What a wonderful celebration! Thank you to all our grandparents who joined us—your love and support mean so much to our school community. It was a joy to see grandchildren and grandparents sharing stories and reading together, using our questions cards to spark meaningful conversations. Our talented choir delighted everyone with a beautiful performance, adding extra sparkle to the day. We are grateful for your presence and for the lovely afternoon tea shared together. Thank you for making this day so special!

Term 4, 2026

Dear parents and families,

Research has shown that students with great attendance perform better academically, enjoy friendships, and have a sense of belonging at school. Poor attendance can be associated with significant gaps in learning, lower self-esteem, and greater difficulty in forming and maintaining friendships.

Parents and families can help by assisting students to be at school every day and on time by being organised for school, reminding them to pack non-food items the night before and having regular bedtimes so students are getting enough sleep to wake refreshed and be ready for school.

We are beginning another Attendance Blitz for this term. It will start in week 4 and finish in week 7. That is from Monday 2nd November to Friday 27th November. The Attendance Blitz enables us to recognise those students who are at school, on time every day unless they are absent due to illness or an approved appointment.

📚✨ Russ the Story Bus Visits Revesby Public School! 🚌

On Thursday, our students had an amazing day welcoming Russ the Story Bus to Revesby Public School!

Students were treated to an inspiring presentation by the incredible author and illustrator Mick Elliott, who shared his creative ideas, storytelling experiences and the process behind bringing his stories to life! ✏️🎨

To make the day even more special, every student had the opportunity to explore the bus, choose a brand-new book to take home and receive a personalised signed copy from Mick! 📖❤️

A huge thank you to , the wonderful Russ the Story Bus team and Mick Elliott for providing our students with such a memorable experience and inspiring a love of reading, writing and creativity! 🌟

Kindergarten Transitions

Our second successful Kindergarten Transition was a fantastic day filled with laughter, exploration, and new friendships! Our 2027 kindergarten students had lots of fun as they toured the school, participated in engaging outdoor games, and connected with other children and families.

Transitioning to kindergarten is a vital step in a child's educational journey, it helps children become familiar with the school environment, supports their social and emotional development by meeting peers and teachers, and builds confidence for a smooth start.

We look forward to welcoming families at our next Kindergarten Transition on Tuesday, 20th October.
