Happy Statehood Day of the Republic of Croatia! 🇭🇷
Today, we celebrate the day in 1990 when the first democratically elected multi-party Parliament was constituted, laying the foundations of a modern and independent Croatian state. On this day, the Croatian flag proudly flies at Federation Square in Melbourne.

Povodom obilježavanja Dana državnosti Republike Hrvatske, danas je u GK RH Melbourne održana svečana ceremonija na kojoj je 30 novih državljana službeno primilo hrvatsko državljanstvo! 📜✨

On the occasion of Croatian Statehood Day, a citizenship ceremony was held today at the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia in Melbourne, where 30 new citizens officially received Croatian citizenship! 📜✨

Sincere congratulations to all our new Croatian citizens – welcome to the great Croatian family! May you carry this moment with joy and pride, and we wish you all a happy Croatian Statehood Day! 🎉❤️🇭🇷

The Victorian Croatian Chamber of Commerce, led by Tina Bennett, collaborated with the Croatian Consulate to honor Croatian Statehood Day last night. We held our celebration at the elegant Ducksnest space in South Melbourne for an evening of celebration to mark Croatia's birthday. We were also delighted to welcome Robert Blaić, CEO of the Croatian Mint, Betty Pavelich, Croatian Ambassador to Australia, and Joseph Petric, Consul General in Melbourne. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Suzana and Velimir Pehar, the gracious owners, for hosting us and showcasing stunning Croatian furniture, a true reflection of Croatian craftsmanship and pride. This event was also enhanced with songs sang by folkloric group Mladi Hrvati (Clifton Hill) and Croatian food. Events like this remind us of our rich Croatian cultural heritage and they strengthen ties within our community. Hvala lijepa!

A Special Celebration at the Croatian Club Brompton! 🇭🇷
We had a wonderful time during our recent consular visit to the Croatian Club Brompton.
The visit was made even more special as we took a moment to officially recognize Mrs. Jadranka Fucek with a Zahvalnica. Jadranka is a pillar of support for the Consulate, and her dedication and tireless service have been invaluable to our work with the Croatian community in Adelaide. We were also honored by the presence of Mr Terry Stephens, President of the South Australian Legislative Council, Mr David Tudorovic, Honorary Consul of Croatia and Mr Randal Tomich, President of the Australia-Croatia Chamber of Commerce (SA).
We thank Jadranka for her incredible service and commitment! Hvala lijepa, Jadranka! 🥂✨
