Fisher’s Ghost Parade and Festival, Saturday 31st October 2026.

The parade successfully returned after a few years, and there was fun and games in the garden of Glenalvon House before and after parade.

More activities at Glenalvon today. 12 to 2, then closed for the Parade, then open again from 4 to 6.

Glenalvon is opening at 12 today, closing at 2 while the Fisher's Ghost Parade is on, then opening again at 4pm.

Flashback Friday: Floats have assembled in a paddock before the 1977 Fisher's Ghost Parade. This scene was located where today's Council carpark is located, bordered by the railway line, Broughton Street and Queen Street.

Fisher’s Ghost parade returns this Saturday 31st and Glenalvon will be open!
Starting at 12pm to 2pm and then closing so our volunteers can enjoy the parade. Reopen at 4pm through to 6pm.
So before or after the festivities in Queen Street it is a short walk up Lithgow Street to Glenalvon House.

There will be games for the children in the garden, including:
Hopscotch, hula hoops, quoits, skipping ropes, colouring table.
Also have your photo taken in an historic themed photo-board.

Children enjoying a dip in the pool at Bradbury in 1968. Originally named the Campbelltown Swimming Centre, it was officially opened the year before. Today it's known as the Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre.
